Brooke Wolanin, Bethany’s goalkeeper was the one who shut out eight times during a single season. This is the school record. Her 109 saves are the second-most in the history of Bethany’s program.
The Vikings will face Northwestern Wednesday to begin with the UMAC Tournament. The team is looking for a chance to reach the semifinals as the only time in school history.
Asia Jota Scores Second Goal
Jota was joined by Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez on the scoresheet for Liverpool after they beat Leeds to maintain their position at the top of the Premier League. An avalanche of second-half goals gave the Reds total control, as they cruised past the Elland Road side.

Olaitz Azue scored in less than five minutes following an intermission to secure the game for Bethany. It is the second time in this year that Bethany Vikings are entering the final quarter without scoring. Bethany’s victory improves their overall record to 7-4-1 while also increasing its UMAC standings to the current 6-2.
The Lady Vikings’ defense, at a time when they’ve had a difficult time regularly score goals has proved to be an effective asset. In just four of nine games played they allowed their adversaries to score over 30 percent in the three-point zone. The team also leads the Big Sky Conference with an incredible free throw percentage.
Alaya Fitzgerald, nicknamed Lay, has been one of the main reasons behind the Vikings’ resurgence in the first week of the current season. In the nine games they played at the start of the season the freshman wing averaged 13.0 points, and she also averaged 4.6 rebound along with 1.9 steals.
